Most animals have no trouble seeing Faerie folk, but some humans may find it difficult. Some myths and stories explain that looking through a loop made from a Rowan tree twig can assist with Faerie sight.
List of supplies:
Rowan (mountain ash) twig/branch approximately 20” long
thin jewelry wire
needle nose pliers (for twisting wire)
optional: glue gun (for attaching the other optional items)
optional: moss, grass, or leaves
Instructions: 1 - Find a thin rowan (mountain ash) branch that is easy to bend. Always ask permission of the tree before cutting, and if possible leave a gift for the tree spirit.
2 – Bend one end of the branch, making a loop.
3 – Use the wire to twist and hold the loop in place.
4 – If needed, trim the end of the loop where it overlaps the long handle of the wand.
5 – Tie ribbons at the base of the loop so they dangle down along the handle.
6 – Add optional items: charms on the ribbons. 7 – Add optional items: moss, grass, or leaves. (Real items from nature do tend to dry up and fall off later, so you may want to use artificial leaves from a craft store.)
